With the first scarf having vanished into the clutches of my children (though not before I got a photograph of it), I started work on a hat to go with it. I’m a fan of hats that cover the ears, so that’s what I made – again leaving the ends untucked to give a row of tassels. Following that I made a similar hat, but with wider stripes, then a scarf to match, but with tassels AND pockets. All of these were reversible, with the backside/inside displaying a slightly different pattern.
Then followed a bobble hat, and a bobble scarf, this time in pink and purple – my first deviation from the rainbow-theme for months. I realised this was a necessary departure because not everyone is lucky enough to see different colours in their mind’s eye and, just as with snoods, they might not know they want a particular item until they see it in their favourite colour! More hats and scarves will follow, with more bobbles, tassels and pockets, but for now, here is a selection.
All these items are available from my Etsy shop!
