Festival of Quilting

I took my kids to the Festival of Quilts for the first time last week, and we were totally blown away by the imagination, skill, and beauty on display. There was an enormous amount to see, and even if we’d been able to stay for a day (four hours was long enough for my youngest), we wouldn’t have seen it all. There were workshops too, and next year we will try to plan a bit more so we can make more of it.

For lovers of patchwork and quilting, I will be featuring artist Susan Rienzo and her work in September. Meanwhile, I’ll leave you with a small selection of the pictures I took last week!

  1. Thank you so much for including my quilt, Flowers and Stars for Debbie, from the NEC 2015.
It was her ” leaving home” quilt when she left home to study at Manchester University.
I felt that this quilt reflected Debbie’s personality.
